Narrative
A widower and his daughter travel to the deep south of Thailand to seek help from a Muslim doctor after unleashing a genie on a ruined house. After the death of his wife, a factory worker moves with his teenage daughter to an abandoned mansion in a predominantly Muslim suburb of Bangkok, where his disrespect for several artifacts inadvertently unleashes a series of curses on them, and it’s up to them to stop the incidents from continuing. One of the main enjoyable features here is the strong plot, which allows the film to work with localized folklore and tradition as a basis for simpler supernatural antics.

One of the main drawbacks is the complicated and somewhat unnecessary running time, which lasts longer than it should.
